Collani is a collection of upholstered furniture that epitomises the unbridled energy of renewal. The combination of voluminous geometric shapes, tactile materials and a fresh, sensual palette create a distinctive look with a cosy fit. A recognisable detail of the collection is the enveloping rounded backrests on the freestanding armchairs as well as the various modules to create two and three-seater sofas, for corner and linear arrangements. This element was inspired by a piece of horse harness: collani means "shoulder collar" in Corsican. This ergonomic invention, which replaced the wooden yoke, facilitated the labour of draught animals. Thanks to the soft filling made of horsehair and straw with leather braiding, it adjusted to the body parameters without restricting breathing. The laconic identity of the collection is emphasised by the sturdy support made of natural wood. Its bent wooden elements, together with the diagonal arrangement of the legs and the craftsmanship of the edges, epitomise current aesthetic preferences.
